As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Lead to join our team.
The Business Development Lead will play crucial role in our organization's growth and expansion efforts at the regional level. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing new event opportunities based on our company's strategic plan. The Business Development Lead will maintain a constant pulse on the region's markets and event industry, identify growth and diversification opportunities for existing events, and drive strategic acquisitions.
Market Analysis: Conduct qualitative and quantitative desk research, market checks, and deployment strategies to identify new event opportunities within the region.
Concept Development: Collaborate with Headquarters and Head of Clusters to design event concepts that align with our long-term growth plans.
Acquisitions: Maintain an acquisition scanning and selection process, develop relationships with potential sellers, and coordinate acquisition projects in collaboration with HQ.
Strategic Advice: Provide structured advice to the Head of Region on growth plans and company strategic plans for the region.
Relationship Management: Engage with key exhibitors, federations, associations, opinion leaders, key visitors, and press to build and maintain strong industry relationships.
KPIs: Own and achieve key performance indicators, including the number of launches, acquisitions, and geo-clones.
We are seeking candidates who ideally hold a University degree in a relevant field and possess several years of experience in the events industry, project management, or a related field. Successful candidates should demonstrate an analytical mindset, strategic vision, resilience, creativity, strong communication and presentation skills, commercial acumen, negotiation abilities, and effective people engagement skills.
