Fastfood & Café & Restaurant Expo (FFCR), which is arranged in five cities in the Nordic region, is the meeting place that gathers the whole HORECA industry under one roof. With several years on the market in Helsinki and nowadays also in Tampere, the show has become one of the leading events and is an important player in moving the industry forward. We are now looking for someone who wants to step into the role of being the project manager and run one of Easyfairs Nordic's largest trade show concepts in Finland.
As a project manager – Event & Marketing Specialist at Easyfairs, no two days look the same. In a team, including a marketing coordinator and a salesperson, you will create unforgettable must-attend events for the restaurant industry. In your role you will own the entire event process, which includes, among other tasks, time plan management, marketing planning and execution, negotiating partnerships with media and associations, event budget, and planning and booking the content for the shows. You will also be the responsible person of the event onsite, ensuring a good experience at the show for both exhibitors and visitors. You can have 2 or more events per year in different cities and you are expected to attend them all onsite.
At the company, we have a set event process and time schedule that guides you in planning how to create the event, but you are responsible for the implementation and the creativity in all tasks. The project manager is coordinating the event team in the day-to-day work, why we are wishing for you to be a motivational people leader.
It is required that industry knowledge is constantly gained throughout the year to be able to create and develop a relevant show, serving the industry. Talking about development, you will also be an important cog in the strategic moves and visions for the future of the event. And we are expecting you to have a clear business mindset seeing the potential in the event, that can help exceeding the revenues. You will at times take part in the customer meetings with important customers.
To feel confident in the role, you are stress-resistant and comfortable with having a broad role with many different types of tasks that you handle in a structured way.
The role includes:
- Create and implement marketing plans, time plans, sales plans, etc
- Responsible for overall marketing - create campaigns and advertising
- Identify visitor audiences and manage databases
- Negotiate and sign agreements with partners
- Find and book speakers and create other content at the fair
- Have budget and project responsibilities
- Responsible for the team maintaining schedules and deadlines
- Analysis of target group and statistics
- Work for continued development of the shows
- Carry out the shows onsite by being ultimately responsible
We wish that you have a relevant education based on the tasks of this role and if you have documented experience from a similar role it is an advantage. Previous experience from the restaurant industry and the food sector is not a requirement but will help you to understand the work and industry quicker.
We are looking for someone who is creative, takes responsibility and is outgoing. With your communicative ability, you create commitment and bring others with you. You are good at collaborating and collaborating with relevant partners. Being curious and eager to develop the event with new ideas is something that comes naturally for you. You also have the ability to transform goals into concrete actions and independently drive projects from idea to delivery, a real doer in other words.
You will be a project manager, also working hands on. You will be writing texts, work with our websites and newsletters and might do some easier graphic works. It’s therefore crucial that you are speaking and writing fluent and error-free Finnish. We want you to have good analytical knowledge, so that you can develop and optimize our communication and take the event to new heights. If you have previous experience of working with Sales Force Marketing Cloud and Wordpress, it’s an advantage.
As this role can be located in Helsinki or Gothenburg, it is important that you have not lost your Finnish origin but are up to date with what is happening in Finnish society on a daily basis. For a person living in Helsinki, this job will sometimes involve some trips to the Nordic head office in Gothenburg.
