About the role
As our Marcom & social specialist, you will be responsible for external communications and organic social media for Easyfairs Nordic, our events and venue brands. You will work closely with the Head of MIT, Head of Digital, the MIT team and our event & venue marketing teams to deliver smart, engaging and data-driven communication.
You will:
- Own and coordinate PR activities for Easyfairs Nordic:
- Maintain and enrich our press database
- Write, edit and distribute press releases
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key journalists and media partners
- Coordinate press activities such as press conferences
- Monitor and report on press coverage and results
- Contribute to internal communication via our intranet.
- Analyse performance and help shape 360° content plans for our events, with a focus on driving:
- Visitor and exhibitor acquisition and retention
- Brand awareness and positioning
- Support the development of organic social media strategies for our events and venue brands to:
- Improve follower engagement
- Drive data build (opt-ins, follower growth) and website traffic
- Increase brand awareness and reach
- Be responsible for the regional setup, support and maintenance of:
- Our social media publishing and reporting tool
- Our event referral marketing tool (e.g. Gleanin)
You will also be a regional go-to person for our event marketers when it comes to best practice in PR and organic social.
Your key responsibilities
- Plan and execute PR campaigns in line with our event and brand strategies.
- Ensure that all external communication follows best practice and relevant legislation in the Nordic countries.
- Coach and support marketing & content coordinators and community activators in our event clusters in implementing the 360° content plans.
- Work hands-on with social media publishing, reporting and optimisation based on data.
- Turn insights and analytics into concrete recommendations and action plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as:
- Head of Digital and Head of MIT
- Event marketing teams and Heads of Event/Cluster
- Venue marketing teams
- Work with external stakeholders such as:
- Journalists and media partners
- Social media platforms
- PR and social media tool suppliers
What success looks like
In this role, you will know you are successful when:
- Our Nordic event and venue brands achieve continuous and high-quality press coverage.
- We see sustained growth and engagement on our organic social media channels.
- The quality of visitor and exhibitor communication is recognised internally as a key contributor to the success of our events.
After your first 3 months, we expect you to:
- Have a solid understanding of our PR and social media platforms, channels and suppliers.
- Have built good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Be fully in charge of press release writing, editing and distribution for Easyfairs Nordics, and actively support event and venue teams in their PR strategies and activities.
Who you are
You are a structured, hands-on and proactive communicator who enjoys working both strategically and operationally. You are comfortable juggling multiple events and deadlines, and you thrive in a dynamic environment. We believe you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing communication, preferably from an agency, media/publishing or a similar role on the client side.
- Proven experience with:
- PR and media relations (from drafting press releases to follow-up with journalists)
- Social media management (planning, publishing, reporting)
- Community management and engagement-building activities
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with a feel for adapting tone of voice to different brands and target groups.
- Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.
- A data-driven mindset and the ability to translate insights into clear actions.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience with tools such as social media publishing/reporting platforms, PR databases and referral marketing tools is a strong advantage.

Location
This role is based in Gothenburg or Stockholm, within our MIT (Marketing, Intelligence & Technology) area of activity. You will report to the Head of Digital for Easyfairs Nordics.
